Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- To achieve the production target set by the head of department.
- To utilize man, machine, machinery to the optimum level.
- To ensure Quality product at all level.
- To fulfill the standard requirement of QMS.
- As per the Production Plan, shift-wise allocation of the work volume, raw material distribution and consumables.
- Supervise process activities of manufacturing operations.
- Checking the accuracy of product specification.
- Checking the suitability and quality of materials during the production process.
- To maintain stock of materials and consumables and their appropriate storage during the shift.
- Verifying section-wise process parameters and to ensure all parameters are as per job cards.
- Suggesting Improvement in production and Reduction in wastage.
- Ensure delivery of products as per customers’ requirement with standard specification.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions on internal customer complaints, quality problems and any other issues.
- Co-ordinating with internal department like Maintenance, QA, R&D, Stores.
- Preparation of various MIS as regards to productivity, quality, and performance.
- To ensure all production equipment is maintained and services appropriately.
- Re-allocating tasks whenever needed to achieve deadlines.
- Ensuring manpower available for the production.
- Daily manpower planning and shift scheduling.
- To assess the need of the employees.
- Ensure proper training of operators.
- Ensure on the job training of operators.
- Monitoring effectiveness of operators.
- Provide the production support for new developments.
- Provide the support for installation of new equipments.
- Cost Analysis / benefits on the new projects.
- Recommending new projects, activities, automation to improve productivity, cost reduction drive.
- Ensure the safety of Man, Machine and Materials.
- Train the operators for safety rules and regulations. Ensuring the zero accident level at all times.
- Develop daily audit checklist for plant EHS requirements.
- Daily site inspection in order to observe physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers and reporting to Site Manager and concerned staff.
- Identify any abnormalities/ deviations in housekeeping, spills and EHS violations and report to project manager.
- Communicating management decision / circulars to down the lines.
- Compliance on the part Quality Management System and conducting internal audit.
- To manage employees leave and working arrangement within the production department.
- UG : Engineering Graduate (B.E. Mech /Prod).
