Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform shop floor inspection daily to enforce safe working practices
- Develop training modules for all levels of employees and conduct EHS training program for all category of employees.
- Develop daily inspection/ audit checklist for each department and safety checklist on critical equipment.
- Gather and maintain a log of hazard reporting from employees
- Follow-up for correction of reported hazards.
- Daily site inspection in order to observe physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers and reporting to Site Manager and concerned staff.
- Perform HIRA/ JSA with CFT and ensure each workstation has HIRA/ JSA
- Verify and approve Work Permits daily
- Mock Drill / Evacuation Plan and maintain record for such drills.
- Ensure firefighting system and equipment are in good working condition at all times
- Coordinate and participate in the investigation of accidents and near misses; Review and analyze accidents and near miss incidents and making corrective action recommendations.
- Daily/ weekly safety walk.
- Conduct tool box talks and educate employees
- Compliances with various requirements of customer audits
- Organize safety committee meetings and ensure compliance with all the points discussed.
- Assist implementation and smooth functioning of ISO 14001 and 45001 system and maintain documentation
- Organize safety campaigns, competitions to motivate employees towards safe work environment. Celebration of safety week, environment day by organizing different trainings and competitions.

- Monitor and assist to comply with the legal compliances under various EHS laws.
- Ensure to maintain the waste water treatment is carried out within the parameter as per the consent granted by pollution control board
- Working on Reduction of Air, Water & Noise pollution, Stack Monitoring, Handling of Hazardous Waste & Disposal of Hazardous waste, Legal Compliance related to MPCB.
- Assist to maintain records in compliance to statutory provision.
- Co-ordination with cross functional departments for respective legal compliances
- Covid related legal compliances, liasoning and emergency preparedness.
- Preferably from manufacturing industry
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills
- Strong communication and convincing skills.
- Excellent training skills
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, 5S, POKAYOKE & Kaizen, TPM SAFETY
- Knowledge and experience of conducting safety audit & safety inspection, risk assessment, accident investigation & reporting, safety meeting, creating safety awareness through safety slogans, walk through & safety awards and compliances.
- UG: Diploma/Bachelor in Safety / Engineering
- PG: Post Graduation Not Required
